Gina DiSpirito

Creative Director. Founder. Principal.

Graduating top of her concentration from Providence College with a degree in Humanities and minor in graphic design, DiSpirito has created for such corporate icons as Disney, Hasbro and AAi.FosterGrant. In 1995, ready to go it alone, DiSpirito founded GLAD WORKS. Her stunning design flair, boundless imagination and rare ability to distill our clients' dreams seamlessly onto the page allow GLAD WORKS to do what we do best: ‘explore the possibilities.' From conservative to cutting-edge design, corporate i.d. to product design and packaging, DiSpirito relishes the variety of designing for many types of projects in many different styles, constantly evolving and keeping our house style fresh. Heavily involved in the arts community, she serves as a Board member to the Arts & Business Council of RI, Festival Ballet Providence, and the American Heart Association – and as a committee member to Children’s Friend & Service, Trinity Repertory, New Urban Arts, and the Pawtucket Arts Exchange. Enjoying immense amounts of creative opportunities and rewarding community involvement, she has proudly garnered public recognition, such as a two-time inclusion in Providence Business News’ Top Forty Under 40, the EFNE Entrepreneurship Award, the Encore Award, and various other design and professional awards throughout her career. Other high profile clients DiSpirito has designed for include Brooks Pharmacy, Delta Dental, AAA, CVS/Lifespan, FDNY, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Kaiser Permanente.

Adam Harvey

Technology Director. Principal.

While most kids were playing with Transformers and Stretch Armstrong, Harvey was coding on his first computer. And he's never looked back. A graduate of Youngstown State's Computer Information Systems program, Harvey was involved in developing the state of Ohio's first ISP and was a part of constructing and uploading some of the Internet's very first websites. He grew to serve as IT Director for the corporate world and then, in 1999, brought his technical expertise to GLAD WORKS. With his background in systems architecture, database development, programming, e-commerce, search engine optimization and all things technical, Harvey keeps our full-service ad agency at the forefront of the e-Industrial Revolution. With his tireless dedication to the latest techniques and equipment, Harvey offers our clients cutting-edge innovation, cost-effective solutions and good, straight-talking know-how. And that dedication often extends beyond the creative walls of GLAD WORKS. Serving as a committee member to the Arts & Business Council of RI and as the Director of Technology for the board of the Southeastern New England Chapter of the American Marketing Association, the RI Foster Parents Association, and GroundWork Providence, Harvey offers invaluable expertise to fellow marketers on the latest technology for both their own efforts and those of their members and clients. Harvey has engineered technical solutions for nationally-recognized entities such as Gulf Oil, BROOKS Pharmacy, Kaiser Permanente, Citizens-Union Savings Bank, National Park Service, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, Rhode Island’s NPR station WRNI and the Fire Department of New York. Adam writes monthly articles for Every Company Counts, an initiative of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation.

Evangelia Katsios

Operations Director

A multi-lingual multi-tasker, Katsios brings her account management, direct mail and print production expertise to GLAD WORKS. Formerly an account supervisor for Protocol Integrated Direct Marketing, she helped to strengthen the firm’s client support and promoted cross-training among account managers, all while managing some of the company’s largest clients. Throughout her decade in the media and marketing industry, she has garnered experience in traffic management, advertising coordination, marketing promotions, media buying, client services, and project management. As GLAD WORKS’ Operations Director she excels at innovating creative solutions, collaborating with clients and keeping her thumb on the pulse of our office – ensuring that everyone always has what they need, when they need it. She does all of this with a smile, and it’s that very smile that says a lot for our service philosophy and our company brand. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Hartwick College and an active member in the community, Katsios remains closely tied to her Greek roots and her professional skills by helping to implement fundraising strategies for the St. Barbara Philoptochos Society. And with her experience and involvement on our team, we’re very happy to say that, in our office, it’s all greek to us!

Michele Adamo

Marketing Director. Copywriter.

Michele Adamo believes that there is no limit to what human beings can do. Whether it’s creating an entire campaign in less than a day or discovering the cure for a chronic illness, there’s no law that quantifies the ingenuity of a talented team. Adamo’s background is wide-ranging, and includes many aspects of marketing and client services for groups like Hanover Direct, the American Heart Association, and a division of National City Mortgage. Most recently, Adamo spent several years in account and project management with Access TCA, a marketing agency that specializes in custom trade show exhibits. While with Access, Adamo worked strategically with clients to create custom solutions for a variety of marketing needs ranging from unique traffic builders to innovative graphic opportunities to comprehensive experiential events. With a B.A. in English from Bucknell University and years of experience writing proposals and collateral, Adamo has a talent for crafting messaging that gets to the heart of the matter. And as GLAD WORKS’ Director of Marketing, her insight and creativity certainly leave their well-placed mark across our client’s campaigns and projects.

Beth Motta

Graphic & Interactive Designer

An award-winning designer with sophisticated flair, Motta boasts a background of graphic design, communication, advertising, and television. A graduate of the University of New Haven in Communication and Advertising, Motta found her place with GLAD WORKS and relishes the ability to utilize all of her diverse skills in an agency environment. Having spent years working for WPRI/WNAC–TV as a video editor, as well as for Moore & Isherwood Communications, Inc. as a web and print designer, Motta brings with her an array of advertising, design and multimedia expertise. That critical expertise gives her direct insight into a client’s needs – from strategy to execution – allowing her to hit the perfect note with each project. Whether it’s developing a stunning design, an enticing flash animation, or editing a captivating video sequence, her creative talents, attention to detail and strong communication skills lend her to a wide array of clientele. And that makes Motta and GLAD WORKS a perfect fit – because in this studio, creative variety is the spice of life!

Mark Ferree

Senior Web and Mobile Applications Developer

The complex dialect of web design and coding is a language Ferree speaks fluently. An Anthropology graduate from the University of Kansas with experience working for the Peace Corps, Ferree has used HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Flash and Javascript to develop multilayered websites for dozens of GLAD WORKS’ clients, some with complex e-commerce functionality. Not satisfied to know just the basics of web development, Ferree completed a certificate program in website design at Rhode Island School of Design — making him even more valuable to our team and a deeper resource for our clients. In addition, Ferree is skilled with both Drupal and .netNuke content management systems, and has expanded his repertoire by developing iPhone applications to supplement our in-house app team. Ferree uses his expertise to merge creativity and technology — and helps to keep the GLAD WORKS team on the cutting edge of web development.

Ann K. Rowe

Graphic Designer

With a background in corporate identity and print advertising design, Rowe brings talent laced with Southern charm to the GLAD WORKS team. Originally drawn to design at the suggestion of a school mentor, she enjoyed the benefit of the first computer design class offered in her region, an edge which helped her graduate with a BFA in Graphic Design from Auburn University. Her experiences in art direction and graphic design have helped foster her creativity and teach her how to best turn clients’ ideas into effective executions. Most recently serving as Assistant Art Director at Alexander Scott Designs, she worked independently with clients while also enjoying freedom within the design process. Rowe’s proficiency in a variety of design, web development and animation platforms enriches GLAD WORKS’ offerings. Friendly and passionate, the Georgia transplant describes herself as a hockey fanatic – and much like the heroes of her sport, she brings fearlessness and competitive spirit to her daily endeavors – helping to make GLAD WORKS a winning team!

Liz Aune

Graphic Designer

Liz has a good head on her shoulders but she’s not afraid to keep it in the clouds. By combining playful design and practical concerns, she creates breakthrough designs for GLAD WORKS clients. A Graphic Design graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, Aune brings a wealth of interactive and print design expertise to the GLAD WORKS team. Her experience in the education and publishing fields, as well as her time as a freelance designer has allowed her to excel within a variety of platforms, clients and projects. Aune is most comfortable taking a hands-on approach with the client management process, working directly with clients and vendors to facilitate both the design and production. A passionate environmentalist, Aune also brings her knowledge of green printing and advertising processes to the rest of the GLAD WORKS team, helping to raise clients’ awareness of alternative methods. With her rare combination of analytical eye and creative spirit, Aune feels right at home among the multi-talented GLAD WORKS family!

Robert Aubin

Senior Web and Mobile Applications Developer

Like most in the web development field, Aubin spends much of his time out of sight, quietly focused on engineering the very latest technologies. After studying at Rhode Island College, Aubin developed and strategized for a range of clients that reflect his own diverse interests. Yet, for someone who devotes so much of his time to left-brain work, Aubin also adds a uniquely right-brained dimension to our IT team: along with technical expertise like CSS, XHTML, MySQL, JavaScript and PHP, Aubin offers our clients a keen eye and impressive photography portfolio – adding to our robust digital imaging capabilities. A longtime fan of Apple technology, Aubin has recently become a valued member of our iPhone app development team. With all of his cutting-edge industry know-how, a love for ‘the perfect shot’ and an insatiable quest for new technologies, Aubin serves up a unique, whole-brain combination for our clients and their projects.

André Blais

Photographer. Videographer.

Blais has been enchanted by the art of photography since receiving his first camera at the age of 12, and he communicates that sense of wonder and artistry in his work for GLAD WORKS' clients. With extensive experience in digital post-production, video editing, and digital photography — both in studio and on location — Blais has an eye for everything from product shots to portraits to still lifes. And his skill with lighting and proficiency in Photoshop have given him an impressive portfolio including fashion, commercial and editorial pieces. More than just an artist, Blais also has a strong background in business and customer service, so he understands the importance of listening to, and collaborating with, our clients. Blais' interests in illustration and music give him added value to our team and an original perspective on how to deliver the perfect solution.

Caitlin Cooney

Account Assistant

A graduate of Bentley College with a BS in Marketing, Cooney brings a fresh, Gen-Y perspective to GLAD WORKS. Her prior experience working with a national media buying agency developed a great sense of organization, while her time with an internet start-up gave her the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. And years spent devoting personal time as a volunteer for numerous community organizations helped to develop and reinforce her sense of social activism. Add to all of that Cooney's innate creativity and her willingness to go above and beyond for both co-workers and our clients, and you have a winning combination that makes her an ideal member of the GLAD WORKS team.

Jon Hopewell

Web Developer

At first glance, Jon Hopewell doesn't sound like the typical web developer. With a B.A. in Music Performance and membership in the Audio Engineering Society, it may seem that such an audiophile would have no time left for web development. Yet Hopewell's career has included solid experience with XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, ASP and VBScript. During his tenure with Numark Technologies, Bose Corporation and Nissan of Natick, Hopewell led the creation of new online services for both internal and external customers. He's garnered recognition for his outstanding external client service, internal team support and a wealth of technical expertise. And with this range of skills, talents and experience, Hopewell is ready to make some noise for GLAD WORKS and our clients.

Todd Bloom

Web Developer

Todd Bloom is the quintessential web developer. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a B.S. in Web Development and Internet Commerce, Bloom comes to GLAD WORKS with experience in a number of computer languages including XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP, ASP, Perl and Rails/Ruby. He’s also designed and developed sites using everything from Wordpress, Livejournal, and Typepad to ModX CMS, CodeIgniter, Joomla! And Symfony. Bloom’s motivation in developing sites is the hunt for the perfect solution: he’s driven to figure out the best option for any challenge, and he brings that inquisitiveness to developing outstanding websites for our clients. And his interest in new media and emerging technology has also brought him the distinction of being GLAD WORKS’ first Blackberry app developer. A native of central Massachusetts, Bloom has migrated south of the border to provide his problem-solving experience to GLAD WORKS’ clients.

Mattie Reposa

Graphic Designer

With a robust experience base, Reposa helps to expand GLAD WORKS’ best-in-class creative resources. With a BFA from Montserrat College of Art with a focus in illustration as well as a graphic design certificate from Salem State College, Reposa brings a creative flair all of her own to her projects. Before joining the GLAD WORKS team she was busy teaching at her alma mater and provided original design for groups throughout the region, including Quayside Publishing Group in Beverly, MA; Black Lobster Restaurant in Salem, MA; and Tony B’s Honey in Suffield, CT. A well rounded graphic artist and illustrator, Reposa’s outstanding talent, solid production skills and quality customer service continue to illustrate the GLAD WORKS difference in all she does.

Ben Couto

Account Executive

Couto’s experience in marketing and client services and his personal drive make him well-suited to GLAD WORKS’ entrepreneurial spirit. Since graduating from Northeastern University with a BS in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing, Couto's career has included a range of marketing and client services roles, most recently for a private jet air charter company south of Boston, where he developed national marketing and sales strategies. His dedication and passion are evident in everything Couto does, whether that’s helping to launch a new brand or introducing clients to the range of our creative and technical offerings. With an eye always on the horizon, Couto aims to keep GLAD WORKS’ clients ahead of the competition.
