4 Of the Best Time Wasters You’ll Ever Love: Addictive Games for iPad Lovers.

** This post originally appeared at iPhone Life Magazine where Adam is a featured blogger.

Admittedly, I don’t have a ton of time to waste. Running a business takes up pretty much all of my mental space and energy, but sometimes, I just need to veg out a little bit. If I’m not watching any of my favorite reality TV shows like The PitchFlipping Out, or Shark Tank, I just might pick up my iPad for a little mindless fun. Here’s a list of my go-to favorites.

Bike Baron

I’m an avid cyclist, so this one is extra fun for me even though it’s a motorcycle. I’m that fast on my bicycle, you guys. I’m practically motorized. Must be all the caffeine….

Anyway, there’s a reason why this game is number one in 66 countries—it’s just silly good fun. The concept is very simple, but the game is pretty hard to master. You just take your rider down the track while accomplishing goals like collecting coins and beating times. Oh, and you get to do flips too. I like the flips. I think I’m going to start doing them on my bicycle. My wife will love this…NOT.

Even though I haven’t made one myself, I like the downloadable user-created courses too. It’s cool to see what other people come up with.

Bejeweled HD

This is an oldie, but a goodie.

The newest version has a bunch of different game modes like a lightning mode where you match gems and race the clock, match gems to free butterflies before they get eaten by a hungry spider, blast gems to collect gold and other treasures before the clock runs out, the classic mode we all know and love, and a bunch of others!

My favorite mode is the Zen mode where I can customize sights and sounds to create my own little Zen haven. It even has life-affirming statements that appear at the bottom of my screen, just in case I needed a little pick me up. I like to play the sound of crickets chirping while I play. I don’t know why.

Tetris® for iPad

I can’t help myself. I still love this game after all these years.

Tetris® marathon is the classic version of the game we all know and love, but they’ve added a few other interesting things to it as well. Tetris® Galaxy is pretty cool as a multilevel mode. Tetris® Log is fun too because you can show off your skills and rub it in the faces of all your Facebook friends.

PewPew

I love this one for the simple retro style geometric graphics. It reminds me of the days of yore when I was just a boy, a wee little lad, playing games on my computer. PewPew has five different game modes in which you shoot at or dodge your enemies. You score points and collect rewards along the way.

There are two joysticks—one for controlling your spaceship and the other for aiming and shooting. Once you’ve got that under control and you know how to handle yourself, you’re ready to kick some butt!

I dare you not to shout “Pew! Pew!” while playing this game.

Go ahead. Try it.

So that’s my list of addictive veg-out time games for you, iPhone Lifers.

What are some of your go-to favorites?
