In these difficult economic times, often the first thing business owners are forced to cut back on is advertising and marketing. But having budgetary constraints doesn’t mean that you can’t keep your name out there just the same. There are many things a company like ours can do to help you stay relevant and in front of people through new and creative advertising and marketing strategies. Together, we can keep your name at the top of the list wisely and efficiently.

In this world where many of our modes of communication are so impersonal, it’s becoming increasingly important to find ways to connect with people face-to-face. There’s something different about talking to someone in person and having actual, real-time conversations with them that aren’t happening through Facebook or limited to a scant 140 characters. That’s why you might want to consider hosting an event for your business. You need face time to help you build lasting relationships with people.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.

The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy.

Since the first caveman picked up his first primitive paintbrush and painted a weird looking animal figure on the inside of a cave, the arts have served as a bridge between people, society, and time. Even in today’s hectic and time starved world, art continues to encourage thought, evoke emotion and spark conversation; in fact, for exactly those reasons, it may be more important than ever before.

Igniting thoughts, emotions, and conversations is also part of what makes a successful business. An amazing product or a great service does just what good art does—make people think, feel, and interact with one another.

People often think that in order to really help out and make a difference in the community, you have to be a big company with tons of money to throw around. The good news is that’s not necessarily true, GLAD WORKS friends: help can come in many unexpected ways!

What makes a blog fun to write is its conversational style. In a blog, it’s okay once in a while to break some rules of grammar in order to write the way people actually speak. But there are some rules that are broken all over the place—on billboards and restaurant menus and newsletters that should never be broken. These grammatical mistakes aren’t just fodder for late-night TV hosts to poke fun—they often diminish credibility and could cause a loss in business.

Was that not the cutest picture last week? Little Bella and Dolce aren’t just adorable faces though! They’re very smart little dogs and they definitely keep us on our toes around here. In fact, as a nice follow-up to last week’s blog post, they’ve asked us to write about some great tools that can help save a ton of paper every day. Bella says that if everyone makes an effort to go as paperless as possible, we can save a gazillion trees!
